Randy Fry "Big Ten" Fishing & Diving Tournament
Ocean Cove, October 13th, 2007
Who: The public is welcome — this angling and free dive tourney is in memory of the late, great Randy Fry - the avid abalone diver, fisherman, competitive spearfisher who dedicated his efforts to the rights of anglers and divers.
What: Join us for a fun saltwater shore fishing and diving tournament with trophies for abalone and nearshore rockfish.
When: Saturday, October 13, 2007. Check in begins at 7 AM. Check-out by 1 PM.
Where: Ocean Cove Campground on the Sonoma County Coast, north of Jenner at 23125 Coast Highway One. Ocean Cove Campground is at mile marker SON 38.0. We've reserved a group campsite and encourage participants to join us at Ocean Cove Friday evening. Individual sites are available on a first-come, first served basis, and there are plenty of sites available at nearby state parks.

Entry fee: $35, includes lunch, trophy awards, raffle ticket, silent auction and a chance to win a Kayak (thanks to the Sonoma County Abalone Network). Kayak raffle tickets at $5 each, or $20 for five tickets.
Rules: This is a team event, 2 per team. Each team must check in at Ocean Cove Campground and check out by 1 pm for the weigh in. Trophies awarded for Free Dive Spear, Shore Angling and Abalone Diving. Violation of DFG rules, late check out disqualifies. More Info: (707) 357-3422, or email
